Sailing on Skiatook Lake is a real treat. The lake has deep shorelines that allow sailboats the ability to utilize all of the available lake surface area. Winds prevail from a southerly or northerly direction. This gives boats the ability to track up and down the length of the lake. It also minimizes wave heights. With the beautiful cliffs, islands, and tree covered hills surrounding the lake, sailing is superb. The Edward Teach Yacht Club (ETYC) provides both sail and power boaters with a clubhouse and group social interaction. ETYC is located at Crystal Bay Marina and is open to all dues paying members. Shallow water buoys are provide for those wishing to overnight on the water.
