The Skiatook Lake Association Mission

"To promote and improve the recreational and enviromental qualities of Skiatook Lake"

The Skiatook Lake Association uses this mission statement as a touchstone for all activities and management of objectives and projects. We are not focused on economic development, but rather the recreational and environmental qualities of the lake. It is our core belief that we should only engage in activities that we as a group can effect. If our organization effectively promotes and improves the qualities of the lake , then economic development will naturally occur. The SLA has developed a Vision 2015 that guides our activities.

Our members enjoy working in our organization because they can take part in activities with friends and family and also work with projects that immediately effect them. We welcome like minded individuals and organizations that want to be part of a fast growing and active organization such as the Skiatook Lake Association. In 2006 the SLA sponsored eight major events.
